Grand Rapids, MI Orthodontist
Due to his level of skill and years of experience, Dr. Lathe Miller has earned the title of Invisalign Elite Provider and is in the top 1% ofproviders in North America.
Our Grand Rapids Invisalign orthodontist has helped numerous patients achieve their dream smile using clear aligners and can do the same for you.
If you are self-conscious about your smile and would like a virtually invisible alternative to traditional braces, Dr. Miller and her team can introduce you to Invisalign treatment today.
Following a comprehensive exam that will confirm your candidacy for Invisalign, we will take digital impressions of your teeth using our iTero® digital scanner. In minutes, 3D images of your teeth are created without any goop, gagging, or mess. This method also results in a better alignment fit than with physical impressions.
Dr. Miller will then send the digital impressions to the Invisalign lab where a series of clear aligners are produced for you by trained technicians. There, the most efficient set of movements needed to achieve ideal alignment is determined using your scans. Once fabricated, the aligners will be sent back to our Grand Rapids orthodontics office where treatment can begin.
With your new aligners will also come detailed instructions on how and when to wear them. You can expect a tight feeling when you put on your first set, but don’t worry as this is intentional. The first pair, and those that follow, are designed to move your teeth into a new configuration for 10-14 days at a time before changing to a new set.
It’s important that each set of aligners be worn for at least 22-23 hours each day, taking them out only to brush, floss, drink, and eat.
Many patients appreciate both the level of control thatgives them and the subtle appearance. Every individual is different, and aligners may not work for your lifestyle, but for those seeking a low-profile yet effective treatment, Dr. Miller recommends Invisalign.
